"God Gives Great Opportunities"

Life's a Journey!  Since the beginning of the year, Life has been a journey! We have had many retreats and traveled a lot. Women's retreat in BKK for staff women and wives. January 28-30. It was a refreshing and encouraging time. We did activities to help us focus on the Lord and what He has done in our lives. Thank God for all who hosted and helped. They were such a blessing. Resource team retreat. February 11-13. I am excited every year when we have our RT retreat! I am excited about what we focused on and learnt together. Our Theme this year was “Effectiveness”. The passage we used is from Ephesians 5:15-17. As a team, we would like to develop in effectiveness in our lives and our work. CT women’s retreat. February 21-21. God’s love compels us! This was our theme for CT women's retreat. It was our first time to have a retreat to encourage our postgraduate women who are serving and laboring in love at the church. It was encouraging that God reminded us to give our lives to Christ and then give our lives to others. The love of Christ in us will compel us to do these things by reflecting the glory of God.      2 Cor 5:14-15 KKU Evangelistic Retreat. February 26-28. There was an evangelistic retreat in Ubonrat Dam. There were about 40 people including 20  non-believers, which was more than last year! We went to volunteer at the Disabled Center. We painted a mural on a wall, cleaned, planted trees, played games and did a craft with them. There was also a speaker who came and talked about how we rely social media and put our identity into that instead of God. Please pray for their salvation. Please pray for Gibgob. She is a second year German major. She attend the COSC last year and knows a lot about God. She went to the Evangelistic retreat and heard the gospel again. After the retreat, she initiated hanging out and told us that she wants to know even more about God and how he can help her with her current problems! Praise the Lord! One barrier to her is believing only Jesus died to save everyone. She wonders how only one person can manage that while playing a part everyone’s life! Please pray that God will open her heart to understand and receive Jesus as her savior. Pray for Earn, who is going to meet and help her to learn more about God in the Knowing God book. God Gives Great Opportunities! I’ve seen God use me to meet people and share the gospel at the walking track around the lake. God can use us through our normal activities that we do! There are opportunities!   Mindmint is a Statistic freshmen girl. She likes to exercise by walking with me in the mornings and this has become a regular thing. This is a great opportunity to be her friend and share the gospel with her. Kung is an old friend I met, at the lake. She just moved to work in KK. I think this is also a great opportunity to share the love of Christ with her! "Jesus is the reason for the season" View this email in your browser Christmas is a time of "LOVE"   Sharing the true meaning of Christmas and giving gifts. "Church Christmas Service" "Give Jesus story books for students from Nonmaung school" "Caroling at the village near our church" "Showing love by prayers" I was encouraged by PenNy. She invited her high school students to come to her house  for a Christmas party. She used this opportunity to share why we celebrate Christmas and got into the gospel. It was the first time that they knew that we celebrate Jesus' birthday!!! It was such a blessing timeand it was fun playing games.   Giving gifts and sharing what we thankful for through the pass year. Another thanksgiving: The students I know learn a multicultural class, so they came to interview the foreigners in our church. Thank God for the opportunity to share our belief with them. Special Thanks!   “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:3-5‬   "Thank you so much for being a part of ministry here. "God gives Growth"

So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 1 Corinthians 3:7

Boy, Ping Pong and Tang. Growing in spiritual fruitfulness: As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” Matthew 13:23 Praise the Lord for 6 New believers in the past 2 months Boy, PingPong, Tang,Pai, Jam and Kie. Please pray for their relationship with God and that they would be grounded and rooted in God’s love. Ephesian 2:17 Pai,Jam and Kie. Growing in sharing gospel and God’s love: We continue to follow up with the students. We had a Friday fun party and almost every English camp team had a reunion get together. It is great to create those opportunities to keep in touch with our friends. They said that they miss their friends and experiencing warm welcome so much. They look forward to spend time together again.    Sano & I had dinner with Ger, Fluke and Chui. We were able to discuss the question “What are we living for on this earth?” All three were not sure about what are they are living for? They were confused and were challenged to think more about life after death.                          Pray that the gospel and God‘s love will grow in them, soften their hearts and the truth will set them free from this messy world! Growing in relationship with family:   Thank God for leading my grandma to come to our Mother’s day service at church last August. We had a great time together and she got to hear testimonies from our church members. We did the ceremony to show respect to all the moms. Please pray that God will open and change her heart of stone to be a heart of flesh. I love her so much and would love to see her come to believe in Jesus Christ. Please pray for her health also.

Growing in Life on Life: But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it. 2 Timothy 3:14 I am leading and having a bible study with these two transition women this year! They are Som and Penny. We have learned about what is mobilization, understanding the new role from students to a workers, how our lives can impact the world, and now we are meditating on the verses about perseverance in the midst of challenging circumstances. This is encouraging us to walk in faith with him in the workplace. Pray for both of their relationship with God and walk in faith in daily lives. Pray for Som, she is a french tutor now. This is her main means of providing for herself.  Pray that God will give her more students and she will trust the Lord with all her heart about His providing for her need. Pray for Penny, She is a trainee teacher now. Pray that she will trust and depend on God’s wisdom for teaching her high school students.

Growing in relationship with the Body of Christ: We just had our church retreat on September 26-27. Our theme this year is " The Relationship" By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 I learned that the relationship starts from God. We can’t love other people by ourself or our own strength. It is necessary for us to depend on God in every relationship. From the sermon in Psalm 16 I was so encouraged about who God is. He is our Refuge, our Lord, our treasure and our wonderful counselor. His characteristic must be our pleasure and joy!!!! and this reminds me of who I am. When we have a good and right relationship with the Lord, it will lead the good and right relationship with the body of Christ and others. We can love them through His love and it means we are growing in be like Him and making Him know by loving one another. Church retreat video Growing in Godly Character: We have our staff training every week in different topic. Theology, support maintenance and develop in godly character. One thing that I have learn from the theology and encouraged me about God is that He is Self- sustaining. He is above all things, He is already there, no one created Him. He was not born and he will not die, he is eternal!!! This is hard to understand! But God must be like that, if not He is not God! How this affect my faith and my relationship with him? This made me think more and focus on the eternal word. Everything in this world is just temporary, our life is short, the suffering, sickness, happiness, are so short compared with the eternal life. This helps my desire in holding on to God who is never changing. He like the living rock in my daily life. I want to live in purity and trust in Him even I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. God is already goes before me. I would like to encourage you to keep faithful in our part;  keep pouring the water, planting the seed and God who will  give the growth. and also keep praying. I believe that prayers are moving things to growing and bear fruit!!! His promises never change. He is going to do His will; what He said he would do in our lives! so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;    it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,    and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
