Love 2 TSP 2012 update

Love 2

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength

and with all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself.”

T: Thank God for Thai Summer Project this year. God led us to stay in Khon Kaen. Over forty Thai Christian students from both of KKU and NEU were in the same dorm for one month. I really liked it because it was so long.  We hadn’t had a TSP like this before; 2 years ago we went to Chaingmai for 2 weeks and last year we went to Pattaya (the beach) for 3 weeks. So It was great for the students to learn about the body of Christ from each other and apply the theme from Luke 10:27 in their lives because they stayed together almost all the time. Also they had roommates’ night for encourage and build each other up.
Team B made banner for theme training “Love your neighbor”

: The students were divided in 3 teams A,B and C and in each team had guy & girl leaders. They had responsibilities for make banners and do skits for Theme training, cook, lead the team in prayer, mange the meeting room, lead worship, games and MC. I was really impressed how each team they were created, did great jobs and more than we expected.   Wow! J
: They work for 4 days a week. They worked at Church, at school, made and sold yummy brownies.
LoogMee & Preaw cooked for us
Tik & Tdui were MCs              Liw and Nim led worship time.
S:  Study time, we had Bible study class on Tuesday night. It was helpful for Christian students to get to know God more through Bible study. Fone (KKU Staff girl) did a great job to teach them how to do Inductive Bible study. And before the class, we had T-bowl, when 2 students names were drawn to share their testimonies.

: Serving day! We had an opportunity to serve at Khon Kaen Special Education Center Region 9. We help to cleaned up the rooms for children and wash an abundance of plastic balls!
      Let’s wash the balls. Fighting!

They painted at the
Covenant Christian School.
P:  Praise God for Leader students. I was encouraged from their lives. I can see they were learning to deny or get out of themselves and think for others. Tik from KKU sharing, “I confess that I didn’t even want to come on the TSP, much less be a leader.  God showed me my own selfishness and how He desires for me to die to myself and be committed to give my life away.  This is where true life and happiness really is.”

"Leader students” They seem crazy!   Coaching time with Earn & Tik (KKU girls)
: Praise God for how He mighty and powerful. It was so encouraged for me from one missionary Tom and Jeung (Bru tribe person) who share the gospel and work with Bru tribe in Laos and Thailand. They help them have the Bible translated in their own  language. Jeung told us, Bru people have strong beliefs in ghost spirits. But it shows God’s amazing grace that He rescued them and other tribes around there from the dominion of darkness and brought them into His kingdom of light.
: Praise God for Preaw who is the only non believer student from NEU received Christ in the last week of TSP!

Tom shared about Bru tribe for us.

Please continue pray for Thai Christian students. Pray they will commit to walk with God every day and apply what they have learned from TSP in their real lives, their time with family during the school break and that they will multiply their lives to others, to be laborers on campus, in Thailand and for the lost world.
Thanks for your prayers and support.
“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people. Colossians 1:3-4
“End of TSP Party” Praise God for what He has been doing for us and finished it wellJ
